Three star rated Woodbury Tented Camp is set in the heart of Amakhala Game Reserve. The tranquil surroundings of the open bushveld allow you to escape from normal day-to-day activities, and enable you to take a deep breath and experience a quiet getaway.
The centre of the camp is an airy, thatched entertainment area, where you can soak up the African sun. Looking out over spectacular views of game-filled plains, this magical setting provides an outdoor feeling to complement delicious traditional meals.
Woodbury Tented Camp offers a view of the historical site across the valley that is home to the first dinosaur fossil discovery in South Africa.
Rooms/Tents:
The seven tents are comfortably fitted out as bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.
Location:
About 75 km from Port Elizabeth on the N2 to Grahamstown you will cross the Bushan's River. Just after the bridge you will see the road sign for Woodbury Lodge. On the right hand side is a terracotta coloured wall with a thatched roof. Enter the gate and follow the signs to Woodbury Tentes Camp.
