This Amakhala Foundation Trust forms the umbrella body under which the Social Development Programme and the Conservation Center fall. Amakhala Conservation Centre (ACC) forms an integral part of Amakhala Game Reserve and is involved in a number of activities which are centered on research projects, environmental education and conservation initiatives.
The ACC has been functioning since July 2003 and is funded in a long-term manner by the commercial Lodges on Amakhala Game Reserve in the form of a conservation levy of R25 per room night as well as by other outside donors.
ACC wishes to thank each of its contributors for their generosity. Without you, ACC would not be able to make a successful impact on our environment.
Thank you to the two full time volunteers, Raz and Nathalie and in particular, Dr Jennifer and Giles Gush for their excessive unpaid contribution to ACC.
